On The Red carpet at the Better Late Than Never MMVAs

It may have been weeks ago, but the June 20th, 2010 MMVAs had the celebrities out in top notch style with great hairstyles and fashions but better late than never to give you the heads up on what three beautiful rising stars wore on their face: MAC of course. Read on to find out which products they used to look so good.

M•A•C Cosmetics was stationed backstage at the MuchMusic Video Awards, prepping performers and presenters for the spotlight. Some of our much-loved makeup artists were even summoned to the stars’ hotel rooms to get them all glammed up before their strut down the carpet. See below for some insider info on favorite products used at the MMVA’s.

Whitney Port

The City star rocked the red carpet with glowing skin, subtly lined eyes and a neutral lip. M•A•C Sr. Artist Jane McKay used the following key products to achieve her radiant skin: M•A•Cs Strobe Cream, Care Blends Essential Oils, and Prep + Prime Transparent Finishing Powder.
Jane highlighted her cheekbones with M•A•C Iridescent Loose Powder in Silver Dusk and gave her a slight flush with Mineralize Blush in Dainty. For a subtly rich look on the eyes, Jane used Omega and Woodwinked eye shadows, lined with Fluidline in Blacktrack and Eye Kohl in Smolder. Jane gave Whitney’s amazing lashes a boost by applying #7 Lashes and topping them off with Opulash mascara in Bad Bad Black. For a nude lip, Jane added Cremesheen Glass in Boy Bait – a makeup artist fave!

Jessica Szohr glittered in her dress, and M•A•C Sr. Artist Melissa Gibson based her makeup look around her outfit - a rusty orange coloured getup with tons of sparkle.
-We balanced the dress with a really strong cat eye. M•A•C Fluidline in Blacktrack was all around her eye and winged out at the end. I then added a small amount of eye shadow in Coppering to the lid to bring out that rusty orange hue. M•A•C Clear Brow Set in her brows and tons of Opulash mascara topped off the look!- said Melissa.
To get Jessica looking like a bronzed goddess, Melissa brushed Mineralize Skinfinish/Natural in Dark on top of Studio Sculpt Foundation, which added a contoured effect to her cheeks -We kept the lip her natural colour and topped with Clear Lipglass so the focus remained on the eyes- added Melissa.

The Hills star Kristen Cavallari, looked smashing at the MMVAs. Freelance makeup artist Grace Lee gave her a defined eye using Eye Kohl in Smolder and Fluidline in Blacktrack (clearly the two favourite products of the night!!). She added a dab of Reflects Antique Gold on the lid for a hit of sparkle.
