Phillip Lim brings city cool to resortwear with sharp cuts finished with floral accents. Denim, cropped-at-the-ankle bottoms, and a variety of tops were all embellished with floral embroidery and prints.
The stylist-turned-designer's lineup had Zoe's signature high-glamour (think sequins) and 60s/70s flair (think mod dresses and bell bottoms), but this season also included more low key office appropriate suiting, casual separates, and beachwear.
Graphic prints, bold colors, t-shirts, and bra tops made for a vibrant Lanvin collection with a somewhat sporty feel (as has been the trend thus far this season). Each look was paired with a handbag, which WWD reports is a product category top of mind for the brand; this season bags were boxy and monochrome/color-blocked and finished with understated hardware.
One of the wisest moves Kate Spade may have made in recently was to bring Brad Goreski on board. While nothing may have changed aesthetic-wise, his hiring has undoubtedly put the brand back in the spotlight. This season was bright (as noted by a t-shirt that read "look on the bright side") and filled with graphic prints and ladylike silhouettes.
