Southwestern-inspired designs are trending more than ever this season, and the bohemian look is perfect for laid-back summer jam sessions. Details like colorful geometric designs, embroidery, and fringe make the look. Natasha Bedingfield wore an eye-catching bra top in a geometric pattern with a sunny pleated maxi skirt to the Million Meals benefit concert for FEED in NYC. Don’t be afraid to wear ankle booties with shorts or a skirt like Kate Bosworth at Coachella, layering on chunky Southwestern jewelry and a silver belt buckle with her embroidered cowboy shirt. Vanessa Hudgens looked like a prairie princess at the same event, wearing Western boots with a high-low sundress, wide-brim hat, and a woven bag.

Both sexy and edgy, combining leather with feminine elements is the ultimate rocker girl look. At Wango Tango in L.A., Carly Rae Jepsen contrasted her zipped leather miniskirt with a sheer chiffon top and floral platform kicks. Jordin Sparks looked gorgeous at the Billboard Music Awards in a Mason Exclusive gown with a leather corset top and silk cobalt skirt. Brandy turned heads at the NARM Music Biz Awards in a laser-cut leather dress by Izmaylova and studded platform Versace heels.

On the red carpet at this season’s music events, stars are showing that all that glitters is not gold. Try this look at your next concert and you may shine brighter than the star you came to see. Zooey Deschanel looked retro-glam at the Billboard Music Awards in a mod silver shift by Moschino, black stockings, and a sixties girl-group updo. Denise Richards looked brilliant at the CMT Awards in a beaded dress and silver slippers. Just down the red carpet, Carrie Underwood dazzled in a silver sequin mini-dress and towering heels.

Circle skirts are a cute and flirty way to show off your legs while dancing to the beat this summer. Actress Ariana Grande wore a sweet floral fit-and-flare dress to Wango Tango, completing her girly look with a ponytail. At KISS FM’s Fantabuloso concert in Chicago, Carly Rae Jepsen performed in an adorable heart-covered dress with a circle skirt, accessorizing her look with a cropped denim vest and Keds. Hayden Panettiere showed that the look can be dressy too, arriving at the CMT Awards in a black embellished top and white circle skirt, which gave her look a 50s silhouette.

At Coachella, stars took inspiration from the original music festival, Woodstock. A floral headband adds a haute hippie touch to any summer look. Paris Hilton looked ready for a summer of love in her headband with blue rosettes, fringed bib necklace, and white bikini top. Wild child Vanessa Hudgens wore a similar accessory with red flowers, round sunglasses, and gold jewelry. Katy Perry prettied up at the ASCAP Pop Music Awards in a delicate daisy version.

It’s hot out there, and stars are only heating things up more with their bare midriffs. Zoe Kravitz chilled out in a white fringed crop top and high waisted denim shorts. Caitlin Moe and DJ Mia Moretti were spotted at South by Southwest sporting twin crop tops and too-cool-for-school oversized sunglasses. Singer Esmee Denters channeled pin-ups in the wild two-piece ensemble she wore to a pre-Billboard event, a fun and daring look for soaking up the sun and the tunes at your next summer concert.
