Get Emma Stone's Glossy Vamp Look

Emma Stone

Who: Emma Stone

Where: The Paris Premiere of The Amazing Spider-Man

Why we like it: There was absolutely no doubt that Emma was going to be our beauty star this week. Throughout the Spider-Man press tour, she's impressed us again and again with her bold beauty (and fashion) choices. This look in particular, with its vampy red lip, glossy peach eye, and beautiful retro curls, had us reaching for our makeup kits to recreate it.

How to get it at home: Start by applying a satin or matte finish foundation such as Illamasqa's Skin Base, $42. You want your skin to look even in tone and texture but still have a natural finish. Unless you have very oily skin, skip the powder and move on to the brows. While it's clear Emma's brows have been filled in with a product such as Anastasia's Brow Wiz, $20, they're not harsh or over-defined. It's just a subtle line to fill in any gaps and extend the brow slightly. There are a few ways to get Emma's glossy peach eye. The first method is to take a shimmery peach shadow such as Stila's Eye Shadow in Sun, $18, all over the lid and top it with a clear gloss such as Bobbi Brown's Crystal Lip Gloss, $17. The problem with this method is longevity. As long as you don't mind creasing this is the best way to get a glossy look; if you're looking for it to last all day, try a cream shadow such as Dior 1-Couleur Eye Gloss in Sunset, $28 instead. To get soft definition on the lash line, apply a dark grey gel liner such as Bobbi Brown's Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner in Graphite Shimmer Ink, $22 and finish off your eyes with a few coats of your favorite mascara. If your skin has a bit of color naturally, leave your cheeks bare, but if you're uncomfortable without blush, apply a very small amount of a neutral toned powder. Lasty, fill in your lips with a plum toned lip liner such as NARS Lipliner Pencil in Marnie, $22, and top them with a glossy deep scarlet lipstick such as NYX's Round Lipstick in Snow White, $4.
