This week on #Twitterati, Karl Lagerfeld reveals to the world just how spoiled his pet is, Anna Wintour is said to be the woman behind Seth Meyer's drag getup at the CFDA's, and Jessica Chastain's Tony's Dress bares all. For more, keep reading this week's most happening fashion moments, events, and quotes according to Twitter's finest celebrities, top editors, and most followed bloggers.
Just when you thought you knew exactly who Karl Lagerfeld was, the real truth comes out. Beneath the tough German exterior lies a softy — a cat lover to be exact. In an ultra-revealing interview with Women's Wear Daily, Karl tells all about his beloved 9-month-old cat, Choupette. Not your ordinary kitten, Vanity Fair explains, "Karl Lagerfeld’s Cat Has Personal Maids, an iPad, and a More Glamorous Existence Than You." Yes, you read that correctly. Styleite affirms, "Karl Lagerfeld's fancy cat has two maids. TWO MAIDS." Not surprisingly, shortly after Karl's tell-all, Choupette hit stardom — Twitter stardom, that is. WWD confirmed the rumors that "a Twitter account for Karl Lagerfeld's cat, Choupette, appeared on Wednesday after WWD's interview with the designer." Rightly so, British Elle predicts that from now on, the world's most spoiled cat will be referred to as "Choupette Lagerfeld, Twitter queen."

Forget the Oscars and the Emmys, this past week, the biggest names in fashion gathered to praise and award each other for their fashionable existence. Also known as the CFDA Fashion Awards, this year's glamorous shindig honored the Olsen twins, Tommy Hilfiger, Joseph Altuzarra, Johnny Depp, and so many more. As expected, highlights of the night included fashion and trends. Fashionista.com tweeted, "CFDA trend alert! Anna Wintour, Hamish Bowles and Pharrell Williams all wore bow ties." Not as expected, the evening's host, funnyman Seth Meyers, stole the fashion spotlight in a lace confection. If you lived under a fashion rock and did not catch Styleite's tweet, "Seth Meyers wore Marc Jacobs's lace Met Gala dress to the CFDA." As to who was responsible for Meyer's fierce get-up? Vanity Fair reveals, “It was Anna Wintour’s Idea.” Once again, Anna makes fashion history. If you, like everyone else, are wondering what Marc Jacobs thought of Meyer's drag-gag, the designer told VF, “He gave me a run for my money in that dress.” Shortly after, the MJ Twitter team asked its followers the biggest question of the night, "Who wore it best - @sethmeyers21 or @marcjacobs?" Now that's definitely a close-call answer!
Speaking of awards, this past Sunday, Broadway's biggest names attended the 2012 Tony Awards. And because both you and I know that Twitterati could care less about this year's winners and losers, let's go straight to the good stuff: this year's fashion hits and misses. Jessica Chastain, who recently signed on as the face of YSL's new fragrance, decided to show more than just a hint of skin during the evening's festivities. Dressed in an embellished Mario Schwab nude sheer dress, a Twitter consensus as tweeted by Too Fab, concurred that, "Jessica Chastain wears very risque dress to the Tony Awards." Rounding up the evening's fashion, British Vogue tweeted, "Jessica Chastain dares to bare in very sheer @MariosSchwab." Styleite begged to differ, referring to Jessica's Mario Schwab ensemble as "all sorts of bad," on its Tony's Fashion Recap. So was Jessica's dress hot or not? Sound off in the comments section below.
