ENDING WINTER OFF ON A SWEET NOTE
As a person with a very sensitive nose I’m always prone to irritation when something is too sweet but this winter I was introduced to three sweet scents I’ll be sure to wear to ring in the Spring with. I’ll start with my favorite: Couture Couture by Juicy Couture. At $85 dollars a pop I was a bit weary of it breaking my wallet but it’s also not the sort of scent I’d wear EVERY day, more for sexy evenings out and special occasions so it wouldn’t run out too quickly. The scent is realllly nice and the more I wear it the more it feels like ‘me’ but I find the notes to be a bit strong so a simple dab does me fine for the night.
Oh Mariah Carey, besides music, you do perfume almost as good. FOREVER was a close second that I wore one afternoon to test around my colleagues; they loved it and it led me to believe it was their personal favorite. It is not too heavy on the nose and ultra feminine. Cheaper than Juicy, this $65 dollar perfume is a nice buy for something romantic. It also comes with a pretty little makeup case that you can double as a purse.
Speaking of pretty, last but not least, $65 dollar PRETTY by Elizabeth Arden and the name says it well. This perfume experience was like jumping into a huge flower patch nose first. If you like slap in the face scents this is a sure bet...if you want a more subtle scent, this COULD work if you put a dab here and...well a dab just here; you have to know how to wear loud scents and while this one is not too mature smelling, the floral notes are a little heavy and a little goes a lonnnng way. Could be great for mom on mothers day though...you know most moms, they just love flowers!
