Keeping it Healthy - Long Hair

We know that between work, home, friends, shopping and everything else on that you have on the go you don't want to be burdened by yet another routine, but taking care of your long locks is going to be the least of your worries! (It takes less than 5 minutes of your day!!) Your long hair is important to you, so treat it like it deserves and it will stay healthy and strong, and you'll have more options on how to style it as well!

Want more volume? Don't be afraid to use your hairdryer to blow it out as long as you condition it properly so it won't dry out and crack. Straighteners also cause incredible heat damage, make sure to cover your luscious long locks in a heat protector before getting the kinks out. The kind of brush you use also affects the health of your hair. The best kind of brushes to use are ones that bend and flex to minimalize that hurtful pull while it untangles your long mane.

Don't let the winter blues get you down, taking care of your hair will give you a boost every time you look in the mirror and see your healthy locks while everyone else walks around with their winter-frizzed hair. Avoid shampoos and conditioners with silicone in them. They do minimize the appearance of split ends, but it does not repair them. It also weighs down your hair to make it look limp and lifeless.

For all the girls out there who don't have long hair, but want it, then you can always add it! Extensions give you the variety of switching between long and short hair without all the hassle of going to the salon for a cut.

Having lengthy locks doesn't have to be a hassle. Keeping your relationship with your hair is easy to maintain. Take care of it and it will take care of you more than you'd expect.
