How to Get Long, Luscious Locks

Long, luscious locks. The length and elegance of them. The chosen hairstyle of (almost) every Disney princess... A classic hairdo that has been carried throughout the ages by women everywhere. The long hairstyle is a classic cut that gets a lot of attention and for good reason. It's not easy keeping long locks healthy It's also not easy growing them out either... Growing you hair out from any haircut is bound to be a bit tiresome, frustrating and filled with bad hair days when it's going through those awful "awkward stages." Never fear though, we're here to help with some easy tips and tricks to help keep your cool and patience while going through this long process.

First things first. You NEED to have healthy hair when you start. This means removing all your dead ends and dried out hairs and other damaged parts. You'll see this will make your hair grow faster and longer than it would have before. It's kind of like when you tend to a garden and after you remove all the dead leaves then the flowers look 20 times better and grow faster than before. This is the best preparation to having long and healthy locks that everyone will envy. Also remember to continuously cut off dead ends once every month or two. This will ensure that your hair keeps growing and won't hit a plateau and just stop.

Eat healthy. The healthier you eat the stronger your hair will be. A good diet full of nutrients and protein is exactly what your locks need in order to grow to your desired length. If you find it hard to keep a healthy diet or are allergic to certain things then try vitamins and supplements instead. This will keep your body happy and your hair gorgeous.

Growing out your hair can be tiresome and often take too long. Therefore don't be afraid to cheat a little until you get to your natural desired length. It's not that big of a deal wearing extensions. They add volume to your natural hair, they look real (if they're put in right) and you can make them whatever length and colour you desire.

Other things that will help your hair grow longer faster is:
Getting a good amount of sleep.
Brushing it less often.
Cutting back on nicotine and alcohol.
Avoid the use of curlers, hot irons, and hot blowdryers on your hair. (If you can't avoid, then minimize.)
