Best of Both Worlds - Medium Hair

It's getting to be fall and that cute short-hair summer hairdo you were rocking is now growing out. Many people consider that medium length to be tricky, but don't fret, this is the perfect time to take advantage of having longer hair, without all the commitment and hassle long hair yields. Anything from a foxy shoulder length bob to a messy, bed-head styled curls, or sleek and subtle bangs are all there for you to experiment with. Not only that but don't be afraid to take full advantage of your hair with a new, bold, crisp colors. Medium hair is the best of both worlds. Embrace it. Here are some great ideas from this year 63rd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards. A perfect example is actress Cobie Smulders. Her wavy, luscious locks at the 63rd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards take the award for best medium-length 'do in my books. Her exceptional hair is not only has a sleek and classy air about it, but it has a certain kind of playful edge.

Actress Jayma Mays keeps her lovely red locks simple by pulling them off to one side of her face with a simple bow clip. If you're feeling bored try adding small accessories to your style to keep it looking fresh and neat.

If your hair tends to be more on the curly side then take a look at Laurence Fishburne's wife Gina Torres awesome wild-style on the red carpet for inspiration. Curls don't have to be deemed unmanageable and frustrating. If anything they are fun and bouncy, encourage your curls to go wild, they'll thank you for it later.

If a classic look is more your style then try out this sweet, 1950's housewife style. To take it to the next level make it platinum blonde of a deep shade of red to match the fall leaves.

Although recently she's grown into a new style, who can forget Victoria Beckham's signature bob? Her straight- edge, clean-cut, always perfectly-framing-her-face hair was her style for years, and is a classic that will always be classic. Perfect for the office or a night out on the town, this is a great style for anyone who wants something simple, low maintenance and timeless.

If none of those hairstyles have provided you with inspiration for a new hairdo then why not try out some bangs? Or how about something asymmetrical? Conventional doesn't apply to everybody, if you want your hair to match your inner animal why not try out some of these styles.

Your medium hair doesn't have to be drag. Play with it and you might be surprised with the outcome. You might even find a new you tangled up in there!
