The Glossies: June 2012 Best and Worst Covers

With Memorial Day weekend upon us, it's all sun and surf for the June glossies.

  • Vogue

With the Olympics around the corner, Ryan Lochte, Hope Solo, and Serena Williams show off their toned bodies as they run arm-in-arm in a shot by Annie Leibovitz. This is arguably one of the least blatantly Photoshopped Vogue covers in a long while.

  • V

Let’s hope Ke$ha didn’t break out too much after being shot by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin for the cover of V's Americana issue.

  • Vogue Paris

Talk about artfully placing sand. Gisele looks stunning, as always, though given that she’s covering a fashion magazine, one might say that she’s dressed rather skimpily.

    Vogue Paris
  • InStyle

One of the stars of Snow White and The Huntsman, Charlize Theron rocks a peep-hole Salvatore Ferragamo bodysuit and a sultry gaze on the cover of this month’s InStyle.

    InStyle
  • W

A shirtless, tattooed Tom Cruise channels his Rock of Ages alter ego, Stacee Jaxx, for this month’s W. Who else finds this painful to look at?

    W
  • Marie Claire

Jessica Alba rarely disappoints fashion-wise, but this month she covers Marie Claire with rather flat looking hair and a Versus dress that’s far from sophisticated (or age appropriate).

    Marie Claire
  • Elle

It appears that Elle Photoshopped a few years off of Kristen Stewart for this month's cover. Looking 16, the actress sports her usual bored stare.

    Elle
  • Allure

Elizabeth Banks channels a retro B-52s look for this month’s Allure.

    Allure
  • Candy

    Woah…this is Tilda Swinton?

    Candy
  • Harper's Bazaar

Hard to go wrong when you pair Kate Moss with Terry Richardson.

    Harper's Bazaar
  • Redbook

Talk about a lot of pastels for one cover.

    Redbook
  • Harper's Bazaar Australia

A beautiful shot of Nicole Kidman holding her baby girl Faith – the Stars and Peoples of the world could learn a thing or two.
