Yesterday we looked at buns that are trending in 2012, so today were looking at ponytails. Ponytails are a classic updo that are easy and clean to maintain, which makes them perfect for any girl on the go. We're going to be focusing on two different types of 'tails today which are setting massive trends this year. The best part about ponytails is that no matter what age you are a little tail will suit your face.
The high ponytail has reined over the fashion world for quite some time but this year it's taking a nice relaxing break and opting for something low near the nape of the neck. This lazy ponytail gives off chill vibes while looking sweet and innocent. Suiting all ages and all occasions this is a hairstyle that literally takes two seconds to pull together, whether your hair is curly or straight this updo will look good. If you want to add curls then feel free to bust out the curling iron, opting to keep it straight then that works too.
Another 'tail which is making a massive statement this year is the structured pony. This pony tail takes a little longer to do but looks fabulous. It starts off in layers and makes its way down from the crown to the nape of the neck. You can spice it up by adding braids into the mix or just keeping it a simple waterfall looking style cascade down the back of the head. If you have a fringe then never fear, a fringe compliments the structured ponytail quite well.
