Fall Hairstyles Straight From The Runway 2011

With fall right around the corner were all looking to change up our style. While a new wardrobe is pretty standard, we sometimes forget that we can also change up our hair by trying simple things like wearing it up instead of down or trying one of the new hair accessories that was spotted all over the runway for fall winter 2011/2012. Also spotted on the runway for new hair trends was a low slick back bun or the famous half ponytail but with a modern twist. So check out the pictures below form this seasons runway shows and let them be of inspiration to your newest hairstyle.

Gucci Fall/Winter 2011/2012

From loose ponytails at Alexander Wang to low ponytails at Prada and Gucci, it was all about the simplicity of having the hair pulled off the face for a fresh new feel, with a youthful vibe. At Valentino they mixed things up by adding one of this season's hottest hair accessories...the headband! So go ahead try something new with your ponytail just remember to keep the look clean.

The ballerina bun has made it into hair style trends for fall 2011, but instead of the classic mid head positioning they have been tied at the nape of the neck. At Chanel they used beautiful hair accessories to really define this sleek look and at Chanel they gave it a more un-kept feel by leaving out hair to frame the face. Either way the options for this look are endless. You can twist it, add hair accessories, a fringe, with a look this classic the sky is the limit!

Derek Lam Fall/Winter 2011/2012

Reminiscent of my school days the half ponytail is back! But done with edgy details like at Miu Miu or at Philip Lim with mermaid styled waves you are sure to not look like you did in high school with the mighty scrunchy at the top of your head! . Again this style was also created in a cleaner format like on Derek lam's runway. This hairstyle is a great option for days when you're not sure if the hair should be up or down. Why have one when you can have both!

For my short haired girls I didn't forget about you. At Dolce & Gabbana they brought back the cool boy do's with an edgy flair. Never perfectly coifed, these are styles for the light hearted. Also at Diane Von Furstenberg she brought us another classic do...the Bob. This is a style that can be worn in so many varieties, so find the length that works for your face and take a trip to your local salon for a new look!

For my ladies that don't like to wear their hair pulled back off their face, there was a lot of loose flowing hair on the runway but a new trend for the season is goodbye side parts and hello center! If you're not quite sure about the center part for your face shape, you can always start off by doing a lil' off center part as you work your way into the middle. And for those of you that love that bohemian feel to your style try throwing in a few braids like at Rag & Bone this season.
