If We Were the Stylist, Jennifer Hudsons Bra Wouldn't Show (& Other Celeb Style Fixes)

Do you ever see a pic of a celeb looking like a hot mess and wonder how, with all of the stylists, designers, makeup artists, and Hunger Games-style prep teams behind this girl, did this happen? Us too. That’s why we’ve created a game where we get to reimagine celeb style snafus—if only we were their stylists.

  • Un-Frump it Up, Jennifer Hudson

Jennifer Hudson’s outfit at the Lucky Shops event—which she hosted—spoke volumes. Striking a pose that said, “What’s wrong with this, guys?” the usually perfectly pulled-together Jennifer Hudson shocked everyone by appearing on the red carpet in a sloppy ensemble. Her shlumpy oversized cardigan said anything but “event host,” while her neon orange leather shorts screamed “look at me!”—but not as much as the black bra making a cameo appearance through her camel-colored sweater, which was just a touch too sheer for flashbulbs. Bring back the bodycon dresses!

  • Kristen Stewart Doesn't Give a ****

Is the peekaboo bra a trend that no one told me about? All things sheer may be in, but somehow this doesn’t seem to qualify (especially because we know from Kristen Stewart’s see-through dresses at the Breaking Dawn Part 2 premieres that she’s not afraid to bare it all). A nude bra would’ve saved this otherwise chic menswear-inspired ensemble, but the sloppiness up top distracts from her crisp tartan pants and dress shoes. The actress’ characteristic un-styled ‘do proves that she doesn’t give a ****—but we already knew that.

  • Jessica Biel's Got Her Dress in a Tangle

Jessica Biel was tweeting up a storm about how much she loved the Versace dress she wore to the Playing for Keeps premiere, but her over-enthusiasm hinted at a need for affirmation that she made the right fashion choice. I’m not going to give it to her, but maybe it doesn’t matter—if you’re already married to Justin Timberlake, how much of a confidence boost do you need to step out in an out-there dress like this one? The gypsy rover gown’s top is tangled-looking and confused, and reminds just a little too much of Heidi Klum’s mess at the EMAs.

  • Relax, Britney Spears, You Look Great

Britney Spears’ flowered leather bustier dress and chunky burgundy sandals at the X Factor viewing party were awesome, and her figure, hair, and general aura are looking better than ever. Now if only she could channel some of the self-assured mega-hotness of her teen years, throw back her shoulders, and do the outfit justice.

  • Come Back to the Future, Alicia Keys

There’s nothing wrong with the 90s-revival movement—except square necklines, suede, and Victorian chokers are trends I was hoping would be left behind. At the Keep a Child Alive Black Ball in NYC, Alicia Keys rocked all three in a look that I’m pretty sure some girl wore to prom in 1999. At least her hair, like always, looked pretty fly.

  • Can't Handle Chelsea Handler's Outfit

Chelsea Handler looked uncommonly unpolished at the Art Basel VIP Preview in Miami. It should probably be a rule of thumb that if you wear a shapeless and ill-fitting dress like this one, you should try to perk it up with some killer heels (or just wear a dress that fits). This funny lady went with patent leather brogues instead. Maybe with the sunglasses on her head she should’ve just gone for it and worn flip-flops.
