Get the Look: Holiday Skirts that Sparkle like Emma Stone and Miranda Kerrs

It’s officially time to twinkle, and the perfect way to add a little—emphasis on the little if you don’t want to end up looking like the tree in Rockefeller Center—sparkle to your style this season is with a skirt that shimmers.

Miranda Kerr is just one of the celebs who’s been getting her glitz on lately. At the Fire Tree fragrance oil launch, she wore a pencil skirt in a subtly shimmery Asian-inspired silk brocade by Proenza Schouler—a luxe fabric that celebs are loving. She accessorized with a  season-appropriate black sheer blouse, criss-cross sandals and a studded clutch. At the Deadfall premiere, Olivia Wilde wore a pencil skirt and cardigan set by L’Wren Scott with bow-embellished Louboutin pumps and a contrasting black Alexander McQueen clutch. The gold sparkles woven into her pieces add just enough festivity to this work-friendly look. So Joan Smalls wasn’t exactly wearing a skirt at the Vogue Editor’s Eye event at the Met Museum—but we think her metallic leather Bermuda shorts by Prabal Gurung would work the same magic as any of these skirts this season.

Emma Stone looked like a present wrapped up in sequins in a look straight off the Burberry Prorsum runway at the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards. Her emerald green skirt and midnight blue peplum bustier top create the perfect winter color combination, with simple black point-toe pups that don’t compete with the sequins.

Check out these six skirts that sparkle to add to your list:
