Founded in 2007 by a triple-threat of creative minds — Glencora Twigg, Christine Hotton, and Jessica Vaira — We3 is a brand that lets the clothes do all the talking.
By producing garments that embody the wearer and communicate without saying a word, We3 believe that fashion offers the opportunity to set things right, speak truth and embrace the creative. That's why for Fall 2012 they've built a collection to dress intelligent, strong, entrepreneurial women that understand the power of style.
"We were inspired by the women artists of the 30s. It was a time of global political, social and financial upheaval but the creative arts reigned strong,” says co-designer Glencora Twigg. “We felt that our modern contemplations are not so dissimilar to those of the 30s. Unity, compassion, peace, stability and sustainability are what we seek."
And so they've come up with an eclectic ode to the greats, with pieces inspired by Gertrude Stein, Ella Fitzgerald, Frida Kahlo, Daphne Du Maurier and Mae West. Each garment is typically considered an essential piece for every wardrobe, allowing for the addition of more avante guard designs to create many different looks with few pieces.
The prices range from $72 to $398 and the new capsule collection will be available across Canada from September. Of course, if you can't wait until then, flip through our slideshow to peek the goods.
