Who: Maika Monroe
Where: The Venice Film Festival premiere of At Any Price
Why we like it: The fresh-faced starlet stood out this week because of her laid-back approach to red carpet beauty. When wearing a statement dress, such as her Marchesa gown, it's easy to fall into a trap with beauty but this look is both summer-appropriate and perfect for this look.
How to get it at home: When wearing a minimal look for evening, it's important to get your base as flawless as possible. Without a statement feature, any imperfections will stand out to the eye. Try Tarte's New Maracuja Miracle Foundation 12-Hour Broad Spectrum SPF 15, $42, which offers a full coverage base with moisturizing properties to keep you from looking dull or chalky.
Next, lightly groom your eyebrows using a powder, such as Sephora Collection's Eyebrow Editor Complete Brow Kit, $19, which offers two shadows and a setting wax to help you get natural looking defined brows. To get Maika's thick black liner, try a cream or gel formula, such as Lorac's Pro Cream Eyeliner + Brush, $19. Define your eyes with a very thin line for the first half of the lid and then make the line thicker towards the outer edge but don't take it beyond the eye in a flick. To get the spidery lash look, try a tubular mascara, such as Too Faced's Lash Injection, $21, which forms a lengthening and thickening layer around each lash for a smudge-proof and long lasting finish.
Get Maika's warm flush with Tarte's Cheek Stain in Loving, $30. A stain or cream formula is perfect if you want a natural looking flush that will last all night. If you accidentally apply too much of a stain, take your used foundation brush and blend it into the skin. The residual product on the brush will help cover any mistakes. Finish off your look with a peachy pink lip gloss, such as Edward Bess' Deep Shine Lip Gloss in Lover's Desire, $30.
