There were a lot of standout celebrity looks at New York Fashion Week, but the front row ensembles worn by Rose Byrne, Diane Kruger, and Hailee Steinfeld stuck with us. They showed off fashion-forward looks by Marc Jacobs and Calvin Klein that are wearable and also accesible—no designer pieces necessary! Keep reading to get inspired by these style-setters' mixed florals, edgy crop tops, and patchwork.

Marc Jacobs made it easy for Rose Byrne to do the daring mixed florals trend in one of the designer’s pretty flowered frocks. The actress shows that one way to avoid a pattern clash is by combining florals in opposite color palettes. Look for two pieces with similarly sized patterns, one in warm reds and pinks, the other in cool greens and blues. Take a cue from Byrne and keep the accessories clean—she accessorized her look with a skinny silver belt, nude pumps, and a poppy red envelope clutch.

Patchwork isn’t just for hippies anymore—the playful trend was spotted on the runways for fall and actress Hailee Steinfeld is wearing it already. Her Marc Jacobs dress stood out in the front row with its blend of multicolor plaid and polka dot patterns and swingy shape. She played up the grungy feel with a chunky sandal and picked an envelope clutch in one of the dress's many hues as her only accessory.

Diane Kruger’s front row look at Calvin Klein was the perfect mix of yesterday's and today’s trends. Her cropped long-sleeved tee was effortlessly 90s, but she paired it with a high-waisted skirt—the most approachable way to bare your midriff!—in the season’s must-have texture, leather. Let’s face it, not having a leather skirt at this point is like not having batteries when a storm’s on the way. I love the way Kruger did monochrome from top to bottom, matching her white mini-purse (another 90s nod) to her top, and her black pumps to her skirt.
