This season, London designer Antonio Berardi worked with Revlon Global Artistic Director, Gucci Westman, and Revlon UK Nail Ambassador, Jenny Longworth, to create a fresh, youthful look to work alongside his modern, sporty separates and super wearable frocks. “The Antonio Berardi girl is sporty, very clean and fresh” said Westman. “A girl reminiscent of a 90s Helmut Lang girl. An Upper East Side wholesome beauty that went to Spence School in New York.”
To get the look, she started with Revlon PhotoReady Perfecting Primer and a new highlighter (not yet available!) called Skinlights in pink. To get the perfect creamy contour, she used Revlon's Super Lustrous Lipstick in Mink on the cheeks to add struction. "We used Brown ColorStay Eyeliner to add freckles which gave the girls a youthful look and finished by patting Revlons Lip butter in Berry Smoothie onto the lips which added a wash of color.”
As demonstated in the show's mood board, created by Jenny Longworth and illustrator Jason Brooks, the nails kept with the 'sport luxe' theme. “His collection featured flashes of neon, including a gorgeous neon salmon pink, which he wanted to emulate on the nails," said Longworth. “To create this, we needed to custom blend Revlon nail enamels in order to create the perfect shade. We mixed Fuchsia Shock, a bright neon pink (launching as part of Revlon's Nail Art collection in Feb 2013) with Provoke, a pastel peach from our Brilliant Strength range (Launching Jan 2013) which made the perfect match. The nails were a perfect accessory which added flash of neon to complement the collection.”
