To say that Christopher Kane's show was a hot ticket this season would be a major understatement. Among those that joined Anna Wintour was British Prime Minister David Cameron's wife Samantha Cameron, Alexa Chung, and Daisy Lowe, all of whom took in the young designer's show which was brimming with nuts, bolts, bows, and ruffles.
This season brought a number of white looks including boxy jackets, paneled dresses, and menswear-inspired tops, and while Kane didn't show any of his signature neons, there was quite a bit of color including sherbet colored pink and yellow.
Delicate fabrics, including organza and lace, were used throughout and many of the looks were held together with nuts and bolts making for some truly original dresses. Other looks were embellished with bows which can often make for hackneyed fashion, but here they appeared lighthearted and modern, especially when the designer opted to combine them with sheer fabrics and make them oversized.
