Go Mod with Ginnifer Goodwin's Pink 60s Look

alt

Who: Ginnifer Goodwin

Where: LACMA 2012 Art + Film Gala

Why we like it: Following Marc Jacobs' Sixties-themed collections this season, we bet there will be cut creases and flicked liner galore on the runways next February. If you're too shy to try a traditional black-and-white 60s look, try Ginnifer Goodwin's petal pink-toned look for a more wearable variation.

How to get it at home: Looks inspired by the 60s often have chalky-looking powdered skin, this look on the other hand, is glowing and radiant. Prep your skin using BECCA's Shimmering Skin Perfector, $41, which will give a very subtle glow under your foundation. Next, buff Sunday Riley's Liquid Light Breathable Perfecting Foundation, $52, into the skin for a flawless base. Ginnifer's brows are a nice shape, but not full enough to pull off this look, so take a cue from her and make your brows look thicker and more defined with a pencil such as Hourglass' Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil, $32. Get a light and even base on your lids by applying a matte shadow such as Make Up For Ever's Eyeshadow in Buff 35, $20, all over the lid. Be sure the bring the pale shade into the inner corner and run a small amount under the lash line. Next, take Stila's Eye Shadow in Tone, $18, which is a rosy plum shade, and concentrate the color through the crease and take a small amount under the lower lash line. Line your eyes with Illamasqua's Precision Ink in Abyss, $27.50, with a small flick at the outer corner and finish off your eyes with long, separated false lashes such as Ardell's Fashion Lashes in 102 Demi Black, $3.99. You want to keep your cheeks quite bare but a touch of a petal pink blush such as Bobbi Brown's Blush in Pretty Pink, $25, across the apples of the cheeks gives just enough of a flush. Finish off your look with a pink-toned nude lipstick such as Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics' Lip Tar in Hush, $16.
