The excitement in the Fashion Spot forums over which new models will rule the runways each season rivals the excitement over the clothes and accessories the models will be sporting on the catwalks. Now that the Spring 2013 season’s shows are over, we can reflect on the new faces that we can’t wait to see in big campaigns and all over our favorite magazines. Here are our top ten picks for the best newcomers of Spring 2013 in alphabetical order… because we can’t play favorites with our favorites.
New Zealander Anmari Botha made her way down 31 catwalks this season, lining up appearances at shows like Tom Ford, Mulberry, Dolce & Gabbana, Fendi, Chanl, Jean Paul Gaultier, Lanvin, and Saint Laurent Paris.
“Pictures don't even do this beauty justice, whenever I watch a video of a runway show she's in I'm blown away at how piercing her beauty (those eyes) is,” HeatherAnne shared.

Tonya walked in 20 shows total but her exclusive appearance at Calvin Klein in New York (where she opened and closed the show) signaled that she’s one to watch. She followed up her exclusive with appearances at some of Fashion Month’s biggest shows: Jil Sander, Missoni, Prada, Alexander McQueen, Cacharel (which she opened), Chanel, Christian Dior, Giambattista Valli, Givenchy, and Miu Miu.

This Canadian model walked 29 shows this season and made quite the impression on forum members.
Junee posted: “Talk about a girl coming out of nowhere and killing it this season...Her Paris shows along with Prada in Milan sealed the deal to me…and the fact she closed the highly anticipated Saint Laurent show speaks volumes. I truly hope she snags a few campaigns and her walk is quite good; I could tell as the fashion weeks progressed her runway strut improved as well."

This 23-year-old Ukrainian newcomer had a stellar season walking 32 shows; she opened at Alexander Wang (where she had a semi-exclusive deal), Haider Ackermann, Sacai, and Viktor & Rolf, and she closed at Versus, Costume National, and Loewe. She also started off her Paris run with a semi-exclusive at Balenciaga.
Woemwoem called her “the breakout star of the season hands down.”

Ji started Fashion Month off as a semi-exclusive at Alexander Wang, and though she only walked 28 shows she created a lot of buzz in the forums. Her bookings were for prestigious labels with hotly anticipated shows like Dolce & Gabbana, Giorgio Armani, Alexander McQueen, Céline, Chloé, Louis Vuitton, and more.

“The way she slightly bends her head down and gives you this piercing look drives me crazy! Amazing girl,” subway 123 posted.

We called this French model the Best Newcomer of NYFW and predicted that she was one to watch, and Marine did not disappoint as Fashion Month progressed. Though she didn’t make it to London, Marine strolled down a total of 46 runways, opened the show at BCBG Max Azria, Rag & Bone, Anteprima, Giambattista Valli, and Veronique Leroy, and closed at Jill Stuart, Marc by Marc Jacobs, and John Galliano.
“Don't think you can expect any better from a newcomer,” Valentine27 commented. “Hope this will translate into campaigns now. She has everything it takes to last. I met her in Paris and she's a great girl,” she shared. “I'm so thrilled for her! Huge congrats.”

This 17-year-old Russian model came into the season as one to watch and definitely didn’t disappoint. Of the 37 shows she walked, she opened and closed at Vera Wang and Rue du Mail, opened Tibi, Cividini, Ann Demeulemeester, Louis Vuitton, and closed at Prabal Gurung.
“The more I see Nastya on the runway, the more I fall in love (if that's even possible),” supermodel revealed. “She truly is the definition of a beautiful wood-nymph, and I'm excited to see where her modeling career will go after this super busy runway season!”

“She's one of the best there is, perfect in any hair/makeup combo, such a powerful runway gaze,” HeatherAnne said of Tsheca. “I'm running out of adjectives to describe how stunning she is,” she added.
