You may recognize her distinct look from street style posts in the past, but here are some things you probably don’t know about frickys, as she’s known in the forums. Hailing from Bulgaria, this PR Manager for an industrial manufacturing company has a popular blog, FriChic.com, which she started over four years ago. How would you describe your personal style? It's mainly edgy minimalism but I am also heavily influenced by emotions so there are some unexpected twists now and then.
Whose style are you most inspired by? Scandinavians are my source of ideas and I am loving streetstyle blogs.
What’s the one item you can’t live without? GHD straightening iron. You could say that my hairstyle is the first accessory I "put on” every morning.
What’s your best purchase ever? An iconic black Givenchy Nightingale bag. It was my first designer item ever; I will never forget the smell of fresh leather coming out of the box. I think the feeling is the same as with first love – you are never sure if and when it will hit you!
Where are your favorite places to shop? Best place to shop the high street is undoubtedly London — Zara, H&M, COS, Acne, Topshop.
Also, I am a huge online shopping addict to the extent that when I have my eye on something, I manage to get it delivered to my door at the best possible price. For European designers, I love Net-a-Porter, myTheresa, and The Outnet – great customer service and really fast delivery; for U.S. designers I go to Saks – selection is amazing.
For leather pieces, I go through vintage stores and eBay as the prices are usually ridiculously low and I have a tailor that can alter almost anything.
