Here it is! Our favorite looks from New York Fashion Week. With most of the designers splitting between natural, contoured looks and bright pops of color, we found ten of the best for you to wear next spring (or even now!).
Statement looks often come from London or Paris, and rarely from a signature New York designer such as Donna Karan, but this pop of pink was one of the stand out looks of this past week. The color was crazy, but what you can take from this look is the shape. Instead of a standard flick or smoky edge, this square shape is a subtle take on graphic liner.

Daytime updos are underrated. Often left for formal occasions, and junior proms, the updo is due for a major resurgence. This version from Katie Gallagher is just messy enough to look undone but polished enough to look put together. To get the look at home, try adding a texturizer to make the hair easier to handle and grip.

There's nothing like a multi-tonal red lip. Some of the most famous red lips in history (see: Marilyn) have been high-maintenance, multi-tonal lips. The bold cherry liner fades into a bright pink center which makes the lips look fuller and well defined. A sharp line is the most important element of this lip so use a lip brush, or two, for a precise application.

It's rare that a designer can reference an icon like Edie Sedgwick and still be original. Just a few weeks ago we predicted the rise of soft-focus beauty and we were proven right with Marc Jacobs' soft and blended version of the Sedgwick classic. If you're wearing a statement eye such as this one, no matter how soft, take another cue from Jacobs and keep the rest of the skin clean. No need to overwhelm the face with other colors when the eye stands out on its own.

Last season's peach highlights at Peter Som sparked a new wave of candy colored locks and this season's rainbow hued extensions by the team at Wella Professionals is set to do the same. We didn't think we could be impressed with cotton candy hair at this point but leave it to the team at Peter Som to prove us wrong.

Bronzed eyes have been all over the red carpet for the past six months but this copper version is a modern take we can't wait to recreate at home. To keep you from looking one dimensional, be sure to add a lighter cream or peach color in the inner corner and try layering the copper tone in the crease for added definition.

One of the most prevalent trends of the week was a highly contoured look like this one at Diane von Furstenberg. The smoked out lower lash line is a modern take on the look and when paired with super groomed, but not defined, brows, it's an interesting, updated daytime look.

We have always been advocates of multi-use products and using colors where they're not supposed to go and this look is a perfect example. This coral pink would have been unremarkable on the cheeks, or even the lips, but when worn on the eyes and lips together it's a subtle statement that hits all the right notes.

At first glance this nail might not look that impressive but consider that CND manicurist Michelle Huynh handcrafted each of the woven press on nails and you'll be taking another look. By painting sheets of wax paper and hand weaving each nail, she not only built up the texture but ushered in the era of subtle nail art.

This look brings new meaning to the term low ponytail. Slicked back, pinned, and crimped, this would be the perfect accent to a simple evening look, or if simplified, could be an easy way to mix up your day-to-day look. If the waved ends were left down, it might look too period, but this loose, low pony kept it young and easy to wear.
