Ariana Grande Ditches Her Signature Hair For…

Ariana Grande revealed to 'V' magazine in February that she uses her hair 'as a mask, a shield' but at the White House on March 6, she shunned the hairstyle she is accustomed to and wore her hair down - it looked amazing!

Ariana Grande, 20, performed at the "Women Of Soul" concert which featured Aretha Franklin, Patti LaBelle, Melissa Etheridge, Janelle Monae, Tessanne Chin, and Jill Scott, and was put together by Michelle Obama. During the what must have been nerve-wracking performance, Ariana handled it like a pro and looked stunning sitting in front of the First Lady and President Barack Obama. Ariana Grande At White House - No Longer Hiding Behind Her Hair

We know that Ariana has gotten so much hate for her signature hairstyle. Ari couldn't take it anymore and went on an Instagram rant after people bashed her during the 2014 Grammy Awards.

Ariana mentioned that she has to wear extensions and do that particular half-up hairstyle because of her four year role of playing Cat from the show Victorious, where she had to dye her hair red constantly.

Take Our Poll

We definitely understand her circumstances!

She revealed to V magazine: "I use my hair as a mask, as a shield. I hide behind it and it's what keeps me me. Some people make fun of me for it, but I don't know who those some people are, so I don't care." Ariana's Inspiration

Ariana looks up to pop queen Madonna from any type of hate she receives including the hair fiasco she experienced.

She says why: "I just love how she stands up for what she believes in and surprises people by not eff-ing up when they want her to so badly...Know what I love most about Madonna? When a bad review came out, she was the first person to say 'f-k you.' When someone said she sounded like Minnie Mouse, she crawled into bed naked except for Minnie Mouse ears. It's such a good attitude to have. It's inspiring to me because there are times when I think I've been a weak, people-pleasing little mouse my whole life."

"That's what I'm learning right now, that I have to become stronger in this industry. I've learned over the past year that you don't have time to chase after ever person who doesn't understand you. The people that know me know that I'm a nice girl. My fans know that I'm a nice girl. My friends know that I'm a nice girl. And ultimately, that's all that matters."

Ariana Grande is such an inspiration for all of us. She's so strong and that's what we love about her. You go, Ariana!
