Kati Nescher Continues to Dominate, Lands Alexander Wang Campaign (Forum Buzz)

Kati Nescher is having a phenomenal season, landing highly coveted campaigns for brands like Chanel, Nina Ricci, Tom Ford, and now Alexander Wang. David Sims photographed the model in looks styled by Karl Templar, and the designer himself praised her “strong and statuesque” demeanor.

“Even though I don't like her expression (is she sucking her cheeks?), I like the campaign,” anlabe32 posted. “Very clean and simple and focused on the clothes, and I like the placement of the logo.”

“I like the simplicity of it,” TREVOFASHIONISTO said of the campaign. “This collection was very much in the details. I just hate the hair.”

On another note, some forum members griped that the campaign looks too similar to this season’s McQ campaign starring Aymeline Valade, which was also photographed by Sims. “Is McQ looking like Alexander Wang or is Wang’s advertising a copy of McQ?” Alien Sex Friend asked. “I don’t see the difference in art/creative direction or even in the hairdo.”

Here are a couple images of the McQ campaign for reference.

The similarities are undeniable. Maybe Sims should have just saved some time and effort, cast Kati to do the McQ campaign, and gotten it all done in one day.
