The Elkhart County Sheriff’s department has designated this month “Mustache March.â€
The department’s male deputies are growing out their mustaches to raise money for their holiday “Shop with a Cop†event in December.
Some of the command staff has expressed interest in growing or shaving their mustaches for a $100 sponsorship, according to a department press release.
The public can get in on the mustache madness as well. Those wishing to participate can go to the Sheriff’s Department at 111 N. Third in Goshen during regular business hours and drop off their donation. At the end of the month, the department will hold a contest on Facebook for the most dramatic before and after photos.
If the department raises $500, Sheriff Brad Rogers will grow a mustache as well. Here are a few styles the sheriff could try:
