The chances of you winning a medal in the Olympics are overwhelmingly slim — unless you're a world class athlete, in which case, carry on — but that doesn't mean you can't celebrate the Olympics in style. Silver's probably the hardest of the medal shades to pull off, but with careful blending, you can work with the cool silver tones. Starting from the tips of your toes and fingers, you can get the sterling look with the super sparkly Nails Inc Diamond Arcade Nail Jewellery, £11. This jewel-effect top coat looks striking over any dark or bright polish — try layering it over another silver for an extra sparkly look. For a subtle, yet striking, glittery eye, try Urban Decay's Heavy Metal Glitter Liner in Glam Rock, £13. Use it on its own for a great daytime look or with a smoky eye for night. If you want to go all out, try the highly pigmented Liquid Metal in Phenomena by Illamasqua, £17.50. Use this cream as a shadow on its own or blended with other colours for a statement eye.
This is by far the easiest 'medal' shade to pull off, but even if the sun isn't shining any more, you can still rock the bronze goddess look. Channel your inner Grecian goddess with a multi-use product such as NARS' The Multiple in Laguna, £29. Apply it as a normal bronzer but try bringing it down onto your décolleté for an extra glow. Bronze smoky eyes have been all over the red carpets for the past few months so get your own version with Laura Mercier's Metallic Creme Eye Colour in Burnished Copper, £18.50. For a glittery bronzed cheek, try Bobbi Brown's Bestselling Shimmer Brick in Bronze Shimmer, £32. Target the colour with a smaller blush brush, use it for a bronzed eyeshadow look, or use a large fluffy brush and apply it wherever you please.
