Not all is bad in the life of Katie Holmes amidst public divorce filings, Scientology escapes, and midnight ice cream runs with daughter Suri, the used-to-be half of #TomKat is immersing herself in the fashion world, more so than ever before. Not long after the divorce initiations were publicized, news of Katie Holmes' fashion ventures came to Twitter light. British Vogue tweeted, "Katie Holmes is taking her @HolmesandYang label to New York Fashion Week this September." Styleite adds, "More big things for Katie Holmes: a New York Fashion Week show AND an Elle cover." Elle magazine tweeted an image of their latest cover girl, "Our August cover girl is #KatieHolmes—like you've never seen before." While The Fashion Spot mused, "How lucky is @ELLEmagazine that their Katie Holmes cover is out on the brink of the divorce announcement? Issue must be flying off shelves." The bigger question remains, when will Suri, the most fashionable of the now defunct trio, make her fashion debut?
As if Raf Simons' celeb-filled Dior debut wasn't getting enough attention as it is. Now, it turns out potentially bigger news was also happening that same night. The Cut got hold of Instagram snaps of someone who looks a lot like Anna Wintour dining with someone who looks a lot like ex-Dior designer John Galliano at the Ritz in Paris. Instagrammer albertkcpang aka Albert Pang told The Cut he was “100% positive” it was Galliano. Soon enough, the images hit the Twittersphere, with the top fashion Twitter accounts discussing this mysterious date. Fashionista tweeted, "Did Anna Wintour eat with John Galliano in Paris the same night as Raf's Dior debut?" More importantly, The Fashion Spot muses, "Wintour & Galliano's Paris meet-up — does this mean comeback?" While no statements have been made by either party, anything is possible when Anna is in the picture.

Speaking of covert meetings, Fashionista tweeted, "Hedi Slimane sneakily made his debut for YSL this week. No press allowed." While no pictures of the collection were allowed to be taken, several buyers spoke anonymously to WWD and The Financial Times about what they saw. According to Fashionista, both news outlets are reporting that "buyers were generally positive and enthusiastic about Slimane’s collections." While one can only hope for some pictures of the collection to leak, at least we know that "buyers agree: Hedi Slimane's first collection for @YSL was a hit."(Fashionologie).
