Rumors were swirling that Chloe Sevigny would be the face of Miu Miu’s Fall 2012 ad campaign, and as you can see, it turns out those rumors were true. The quirky trendsetting actress has a long history with the brand; she walked down the Miu Miu runway in 1995, was the star of their Summer 1996 ad campaign, and has been spotted countless time wearing Miu Miu to parties and events such as this year’s Met Gala celebrating the Impossible Conversations between Elsa Schiaparelli and Miuccia Prada.
Though some forum members can’t get on board with the look of this new Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott-photographed campaign, others, such as Naen, can’t help but love it. “Chloe stands as such natural choice for this campaign,” she wrote. “It's not a prissy collection therefore I don't mind a little bit of what may look like uncomfortable or disturbing posing. The colors from what I can tell remind me of the noughties, hence I couldn't dislike even if I wanted to,” she joked.
“Chloe's kinda got a Bowie circa '74 look going on,” justaguy commented. “I think that's what I love about this!”
Chloe brings just the right amount of quirkiness to this campaign. Even while sprawled over a chair not meant for lounging and wearing offbeat hair and makeup she never looks forced or uncomfortable. Chloe’s a Miu Miu girl through and through.
